The lake hosts a variety of fish including Carp, Roach and Perch. The lake can be fished the whole year round. The prices for fishing the lake are as follows.

Please Note: Any angler aged 12 years or over, fishing for salmon, trout, freshwater fish or eels in England (except the River Tweed), Wales or the Border Esk and its tributaries in Scotland must have an Environment Agency rod licence. The prices are as follows.

Children under 12 years of age do not require a rod fishing licence
Full and Concessionary rod licence's expire on 31st March
1 day tickets are valid for 24 consecutive hours
8 day tickets are valid for 192 consecutive hours
Failure to provide a valid Environment Agency rod licence could result in prosecution (maximum fine £2,500)

Rod licence's can be bought at any Post Office.
